3/8" × 3/8" × 1/4" Reducing Branch T for ice maker connections with inline filters and reverse osmosis systems using 3/8" delivery tubes. This fitting also makes a great alternative to a self piercing valve for drawing a supply line for your filtration system. It will provide great flow and a leak free connection for years to come. If you have a 3/8" supply tube feeding cold water to your faucet, you should consider using this fitting with a John Guest 1/4" Ball valve instead of the self piercing valve that may be supplied with your system. Self piercing valves may violate your local plumbing code. Using the Reducing Branch T and Ball Valve combination is much quicker and easier to install, and it is much more reliable over time. Here's is a good tip from someone who has done a few installations... If your 3/8" supply line feeding your faucet is not flexible, order 1 foot of 3/8" Tubing. Connect one end to your cold water shut-off valve under the sink and connect the other end to the Reducing Branch T. We'll provide you the delrin sleeve and tube stiffener you'll need to make the shut-off valve connection at no charge when you order the 1 foot of tubing! This tubing will give you the flexibility needed to push the tube into the fitting and make the connection. Short copper tubes are often too rigid to work with these fittings, although the fittings are compatible with copper or plastic tubing. Pipe connection has never been easier than with John Guest fittings. Click here to view simplified connection diagrams... |
